There's No Rainbow

Looking out to the Horizon
Over this great blue Ocean
This time, the Sun is shining
So Bright
It's blinding

Last time
I was freezing cold
There was a beautiful Rainbow
On the other side a pot of Gold
I knew our love would grow

Here at this place again
This time, there's no Rainbow
That path has come to an end
And my heart has lost it's glow

As I sit here and receive
The sun's passionate kiss
My Love, I do believe
This Heart O'mine you'll miss

I go over your letters
Letters of hope and Love
You were my one and only
Sweet Angel from above

I look up to the Cobult Blue sky
A Tear dwell's within my eye
Letting out a defeated Sigh....
I fall to my knees and cry

and here I am...not sure I'm the 'pot of gold' though, I suspect not...but each new day has the option of being one...I hope your tomorrow brings that to you..

A lost love is always so sad. Well written.
But you will have a greater love one day, the love of your child. It's a bigger and different love than that for a man, and equally if not more rewarding.
Thanks for sharing. I saw you on the cliff face.......:

I hope that you find your rainbow and pot of gold, Dark Angel. You wrote a wonderful poem about losing your love. The emotion is very deep.

Well now, soul-sister. Quite a farewell you present.

Rainbow Girl, thank you so much

-----------
Isis, I do have the love of my child, and it is the grandest most greatest love I have ever known
This poem was not written for a man but for
another woman (oops)
Isis... I saw you too
Thanks so much
