I was gone for just a few
Well maybe it was more.
I looked for Open Poetry
Futiley knocked at the door.

No one was there to answer
It was then that i knew
Everyone had moved on
To Open Poetry 2!

The door was closed
the lights turned out
no one was home
no use to shout

It's not gone forever
just for a little while
but we're still here for you
so read on with a smile!

It never ceases to amaze me how you all can write so readily. Even the responses are poetic. I only hope I can absorb a fraction of what I read.

Poet, cute response
i appreciate the thought
your prose is divine -
can it be bought?

[lame last line...sorry]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
beowulf, beowulf
arent you in a story?
i read it long ago
but don't recall the glory.
Well, here we are
And now you're here too!
Don't go away now
stick to us like glue!
And you think YOU had a lame last line? You'll think again after you read this.
But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..."
