This place is like heaven,
It's been great for me,
I've met folks that have patience,
For my sick poetry.

There's "Hoot" and Suthern, White Dove and Lucie,
Balladeer the Great, (I use that term loosely),
Most everyone here, I admire so much,
I wish I had just a little, of your poetic touch.

If forever a moment, I thought that I might,
Cause sorrow or hurt or anyone spite,
I'd never ever post here again,
As I have no feelings as these, nor want to offend.

I love to play and make smiles when I can,
I'm no poet of course, just a clown and a friend.
My temper needs calming, my patience plain sucks,
But the talent I've found here has helped me so much.

So please if I ever, offend anyone,
Let me know in all honesty, cuz I truly mean none.
Except LongJohn and Balladeer, they are the few,
I thrive and I live for, teasing you two.

But I know in my heart,
That you enjoy this crap too,
Or I'd never start
The mischief I do.

So thanks my friend LongJohn,
For bringing me here,
Cuz the enjoyment I've found,
Is truly quite dear.

geeze, Dovie - will ya put a cork in it? This scalawag is already insufferable enough without you heaping these words of praise on him.

Toerag - you suck... lol -

(there, that oughta slow him down)

Toerag: Don't you pay any attention to Rainbow... she's just jealous you didn't mention her by name! LOL (While suthern is, of course, preening! *EG*) She knows I have an email where she actually curses... more than once! LOL (So much for THAT image! *G*)

Seriously, dear one... I understand your sentiment completely... this poem is from the heart and it shows. And I suspect your playmates would only take offense if you stopped playing! *G*

However, I must take issue with you saying you're not a poet... for I can only envy your talent as I enjoy it.

ROFL @ "my patience plain sucks"... that's putting it mildly! LOL

Toe, did you bump your head?
Is the bandage too tight?
Or is your conscious awake
deep in late night?

For you to admit a faux pas
in black and blue words
is like asking me if I believe
in a live dodo-bird.

Your poems they enliven,
your crudeness never varies,
why, we've got this complete picture
of 'Deer and LJA, quite hairy.

So keep on keeping on
with your poetic jests
I'll just keep logged on
till I see who is best!

I'm sitting here smiling, not only did you write a humorus poem, but you also included my name in it. Wow, I don't think I've been mentioned in a poem yet. Opens her wallet...okay, now how much did I say I'd pay you?? LOL

I agree, Toe. You are a shiny faucet and...huh?...oh,...facet...and your pottery is really good and, uh, how do you get your patients to do that...?

ya'll just crack me up...like a boiled egg. Anyway Toe love the poem and the replies are hilariously funny. I'm so glad that you write the way you do. I need a smile aday and usually it comes from you Toe. Balladeer, what brand faucet is that? I want to be one too. Sure do wish I could write funny but I'll be content to watch the experts

ROFL @ patients! *G*

Toerag: I loved your poem, sweets.... and the replies just remind me why we owe so much to the sailor (I didn't say that, Long John... I did NOT say that!!! LOL) for introducing us to this place. And I can never thank you enough for the smiles you share... but I'll make a valiant effort! *G* Thank you!

Counts the number of replies...oh my, I'll bet the price just went up....
may have to sell my faucet along with some of my pottery just to pay Toerag for including my name
These replies are just as funny as the peom itself!

What's this I see
Within my forum?
Toerag's promise
Of decorum?

I should be miffed -
There is no doubt,
Because you see
My name's left out!

Perhaps Toe's mad
LongJohn's my friend,
And Balladeer -
Pals to the end.

I think I need
ScottTissue, cuz
My forum seems
To be A-Buzz

One single week
I go away
And all my poets
Go astray.....

Well now I'm back -
Lest you forget
This poet can
Always edit!!!

Did I leave out Nan?
It wasn't my plan?
Cuz we all know,
She watches old Toe.

We admire her much
Though she writes not enough
Unless I screw up
Then with one "touch"
I'm in "deleted dutch"

Now I won't pretend,
She's my biggest fan,
But she reads my stuff carefully,
Ain't it just grand!

Do ya think it's my talent?
Do ya think it's my wit?
Or does she watch my behaviour?
Before deleting it?

Toe: I was wondering what part of THIS poem provoked the edit comments! LOL. Now I see it was a ploy to get a poem all her own! *G*
