Silently I sit
Enveloped in my thoughts
Spoken words for no one
And in this sickness
I found my voice
for you

Remembering the words
you gave gently
soothingly
eased this tired soul
a soft blanket
they wrapped around me
tucked ‘neath my chin
and lulled me to
sleep
And in my illness
I smile wanly at
those memories
of you

Good ‘ol Jim
quietly singing to me
about time
trapped in a bottle
as I listen intently
never understanding
never until you

I look over my shoulder
gazing down the past
my life’s journey
a narrow path
ever turning, twisting
little paths, either side
my children, match my stride
And looking forward
as Fate takes my hand
my path widens
making room
for you

Wise words from you, my friend. Rare as well and treasured all the more for that

And with this soft Southern drawl
Will ever I lull thee to sleep's embrace
Reading Pratchett with whimsy and wit
Until I close the book and slowly
Stroke thy hair from out thy tired eyes
Tomorrow will soon be upon us
But graveyard shifts still hold me captive
Folger's beckons with siren's song
Dark aroma wafting and waltzing
As you tenderly peek from under
Tired lids and sweetly grant me
Your smile as Jim sends his love
In a song

Satiate, what can I say, but that was wonderful.. Makes me think though.. Now I will have to kick back and relax to Jim.. Now Ali had the other good idea-- coffee.. You love me like no man can first thing in the morning inside and out.. I guess that I can't say that anymore now that I'm pregnant.. hehehe.. I have a beat that will go along with this nicely.. Once again great job and keep it up.

Now, I wonder who this was written for?

Love,
Lady

Satiate, I just wanted to let you and this forum know, that I, Alicat, love you. I am more than willing to accept friendship, if that is the only recourse, but irregardless of the outcome, I will love you. For the past month my thoughts have been even sillier than normal, with whimsical grins pasted on my face for hours at work, causing no end to confused looks from my co-workers. But that is OK...for love truly is a wonderous thang.
