The sigh of you

What is this world today,
Is it different from yesterdays?
I count todays, 'til you arrive,
Always waiting,
For you will come,
Your silent promise.

What did we miss?
Was it a lot?
That time together, so blurry
Erased, and left only with the sigh of you.

What did we do?
Did we save the world?
Or was that just a dream, a nightmare.

I can feel you in the dark,
Your mind alone,
Next to mine,
Whispering your promise.

Should I wait much longer?
Will my will go on?
Every year,
Hoping,
Searching, for the sigh of you.

Wow....I am awed by the sense of longing in this piece. Again, very nicely done.

Severn,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I don't get to thank enough of you individually. I lack the extra time this week to visit here for long, but when I do I like to just say thanks.
