HE HAS MY HEART

From a beginning near a waterfall
Near the rocks and flowers, saw born
some spark whose light's grown stronger,
increasing by night and morn.

Coming together and staying there
Is a fortune I've not yet known;
For each hour spent rapt in your passion,
I spend twenty-five alone.

How nights find me in this predicament
fevered thoughts laced with desire
Patience is of little consequence;
And no quenching of this fire.

There is no tenderness in waking like this:
Conciousness comes crashing upon the shore
You're not here-- again-- and I'm painfully aware
Of a steady silence-- and nothing more

I dream of the morrow, when your gentle light's
No longer half-hidden from my eye-
as fair as a star, the only one
That's shining in the sky.

Wow...this one brings back a familiar ache.
You write very well. I'm looking forward to reading your other works. Welcome!
