Sadness reigns
on thoughts that were
not on what we gain
but penalties incurred

So I peep around the corner
with eyes open wide
I feel a little warmer
when I set my fears aside

I see the sun can shine
and people really smile
All I need can be mine
Though it may take a little while

so with positive thoughts ahead
I'll go and get undressed
pull back the covers slip into bed
but my dreams I'll not divest

but be assured you're in them
as my mind could certify
more a case of requiem
than trying to comply....
