Full Circle

Tiny baby, little one
Mother looks at child with love
Gives her thanks to God above
Dreams of days all full of fun
Underneath the noonday sun

Little girl, a child of three
Lacey things now fill her room
She plays in gardens where flowers bloom
Sits upon her daddy’s knee
Little girl giggles aloud with glee

Child is growing, now a teen
No longer plays with dolls and toys
Into makeup, cars, and boys
Before her date she’ll sit and preen
And hope her parents won’t make a scene

Older now and now a bride
Dressed up in her gown of white
Flowers in her hair, smile so bright
Walks up the aisle by daddy’s side
He gives her away face full of pride

Tiny baby, little one
Mother looks at child with love
Gives her thanks to God above
The new life in her arms has just begun
And life’s full circle we have come

Great job Hoot. I have a grown daughter
too, wait till the babies come! That
joy is indescribable.

Another flew the stormy seas;
Another set an unarmed world aflame,
One found the germ of a disease.
But what high fates my path attend;
For I-today-I found a friend.

The circle of life is never ending,
A joy to behold. I loved this poem, it pulled my strings...

Positively beautiful! My 'baby' is about to give birth any second, so I can well relate to this! Thanks!

Julie, Whtdove, Lucie, Isis and Denise...thank you all so much. I can't say as I'll ever experience anything quite like this as I have two boys, but I am looking forward to grandkids...just not for a while yet

A simple definition of our existence... the never-ending circle. Well written, Hoot.
