I’ve started 20 poems today.. I write a line or two
then all the words evade me. What’s a poet left to do?
You see this poet writes her best when all the lines are rhymed.
When each phrase is wisely put to use and each syllable is timed.

I can’t get the lines to flow… their choppy, hard to read.
A flutter of a poem comes out.. then quickly stops, I was deceived.
I look at things around me that might inspire me to write,
the door, the walls, the desk chair, the red computer light.

I open up the curtain hoping to get some vision there
but 20 minutes later nothings written, I’ve just stared.
So you see it seems this poets creative juices have been dammed.
A challenge is what is needed, can someone please give me a hand?

Lucie, very well done. I've a challange for you though if you think you're up to it.

How about a poem using the line:
Everything is different, 'cause everything's the same.

For creative juices being damned, you did just fine here.
Can't help at the moment in a challenge, but I am sure you will meet someone's challenge quite well!

Even in your 'uninspired' state, you created a great poem!

How many times has this happened to me? So, you want a challenge, do you?

Write a poem using the prase: It seems to be a curse that follows you everywhere.

'Kay?
