The night arrives with her dusky legion, Signalling an end to another day, The sky softyly streaked with pink, orange and yellow, Giving beauty as it's last gift for the day. As I watch the evening star appears, The heavens are all aglow, The night birds with their haunting calls, Cry out to the world below. The breeze is cool and caresses my face, The moon appears from behind a cloud, More stars appear as if in a race, A full blue moon shines proud. The night creatures all begin to stir, From their day long sleep, The possums come out in search of food, The crickets begin their meliodous peep. The storm bird trills a storm approaches, But as yet the sky is still, I savour every picture of beauty, I close my eyes and breathe my fill. The trees softly sway in their age old dance of motion, A spider's web glows from the light of the moon, In the distance a faint song from the ocean, A breeze wafts the smell of hibiscus in bloom. I sit and enjoy Mother Nature's gems, See, smell and feel her magic all around, Revell in one of her most beautiful gifts...
