I try not to feel it, I pretend it isn't there, All these new feelings I have, I tell myself I don't care. It's like being awakened from a decade long sleep, I feel awake to everything around me, I see everything with new eyes and new hope, A way of being I'd forgotten how to be. I long to hear your voice To laugh with you again, In your company I can rejoice, And find shelter from the rain. I can make no promises, I can give no guarantees Can't promise my tomorrows, Life comes without these warrantys. So seek comfort in the knowledge You've got a friend for life, Someone to ease the lonliness Someone who'll hold you tight. I'll be there to listen, I'll be there to lend a hand, I'll always be around, I'll always understand. Perhaps all this was fated way back at the start, Perhaps this thing was meant to be, And I know with your love in my heart, I am at last set free. ------------------ Words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels. ~Isis~ |
