Destination Unknown

Two journeys ended today…
and I am tired.
One so long, so desired
on the plot yet
unreachable, hidden by
stone walls and solid gates
My feet never touched the
sand of that land where
I wanted to live…
A journey within a
journey, short, bittersweet
to the corners of
dark where I am
guilty until proven
the unbitch, and
pleasing though the trip
I will not beg my favor
from victims nor thieves
Two journeys ended today…
another begins tomorrow
but I am tired.

Wonderful thought Caroline...when a journey ends, always another begins

Thank you hoot...but today I hurt from the bottom of my feet, to the bottom of my heart, and I doubt that the sun will shine much tomorrow either. But I'll keep walking, no matter what.

Your poetry is marvellous, Caroline. I hope we can give you some sunlight here - and some shade when it is too bright in the world outside...

Beautiful work, Caroline. No destination is unreachable........some just take longer than others.
