Lets play hide and seek
You run and hide
And I won't peek
seven, eight, nine and ten
Here I come!
Let the search begin

Could you be below the stair?
How about behind the chair?
Giggles abound, but not from there
Laughter resounds without a care

Looky, Daddy! Here we are!
Comes girlish shrills not so far
Here we are behind the door
Same place that we hid before

You found us Daddy! Yes you did
Indeed I found you where you hid
Can we play some more? Can we please?
"Yes" is the answer to their pleas

seven, eight, nine and ten
Here I come!
Let the search begin.
First place that I always start
I search inside
My loving heart

What a terrific poem! It brings on a sense of melancholy for the days when my girls were young and giggling. How I hope I will have lots of grandchildren to give me a chance to relive those wonderful moments. For now, I'll gladly settle for this remarkable poem.

Beautiful, very descriptive. I have a child myself and we were there playing too.
Thanks for that poem.

Ladies and Gentlemen: Thank you all for your kind responses. I'm glad that my words could bring happy thoughts of what was, is or may be. My children bring me new joys every day and I always make sure there is plenty of time to play, for I hear the loss to often from those who wish they had and never did. Happy times to you and yours. Again, my thanks to you all.

Very wonderful!!! Reminds me of when my kids were little. Now that they're grown I really miss all the little games we used to play. But grandkids are agrowin' and on the way so soon I'll get to revel in a child's laughter again. Thanks for the memories of such sweet days.

This was great! And touching as well, I am a mother of 3. The laughter and gigglin oh how sweet it is! I want to state something here, that I give you much credit for taking the time with your kids! Lots of daddy's don't do that! You're a special DAD for giving that attention to your kids, for they truly need that! God Bless You!!!

Thank you WhiteDove. Blessed I am with the family I have, but we decided to stop at two so that we wouldn't be out numbered. My best to you and yours.
