The Thrill

I had the biggest delight today
twice in fact, two thrills came by
one asking permission, my poem to copy
another a request to re-post, oh my!

I know this would have never happened
had I not been allowed to post free
and while comments mean quite a lot
these two little requests made me see

that this place, this wondrous place
holds a space in all of our hearts,
where we may laugh, and love and give;
where our written words may forever live.

The moment made magic by those little requests
as if a volume was printed, again and again ~
and to you all I now share this bequest
never, ever, ever, never put down your pen!

Dear Sunshine, Although I am not a poet, I do appreciate the wonders that I have found here at the Forum. I know that each day, I can come here and find food for my soul.....I remain, as always a big fan.....

It's a wonderful feeling to be so appreciated! It's great to know that something you wrote touched someone so much they wanted a hard copy of your poem! Bask in the glow, Sunshine!
