Illusions once harbored , are tossed on rough seas .
Shored up by ideals , now worn down by degrees .
Time and tides relentless , wear down that which won't comeback .
Understanding of the process , will not stay it's sure attack .
It is futile to resist , a force in constant
motion .
If you would continue to exist , embrace change , become the ocean .

This is really wonderful. I particularly enjoyed the last two lines... ending with "embrace change, become the ocean". That, my friend, is wisdom! And well-written wisdom, to boot.
