I hold on to the night,
its here I keep my pain

I will never let it go
Some, think of me insane

I hold tight, to all I have,
and pain is what I feel

My friends I do not burden,
I pretend its no big deal

I try to ware a happy smile,
and be my good old self

While my heart bares the the weight
of love no more,
all by its lonely self

I see friends around me laughing,
happy with their lives

I smile and laugh with them,
as I tuck it all inside

Why should I show,
or even tell how bad it is I feel

How could they know,
they do not see,
the pain it is I feel

You called until I answered,
my heart, no longer free

Was against my own good judgment,
this love came to be

No matter of the out come,
no matter who was wrong
It's still alive inside me,
forever going strong

So,

I hold on to the night
its here I keep my pain

I do not search
I do not look
I do not seek to find
A place to toss away my heart ache,
to leave my love behind

I don't know the answer,
nothings there I see,
yet inside me lingers,
this heart that is not free

I dine with candles burning,,
it helps to hide my eyes

Inside, I keep the yearning ,
As I hide my foolish pride

I walk in shadowed memory,
with no shadow there of me

Darkened Old Love History,
seems my destiny

I hold on to the night
Its where I keep my pain,
my memory of you,
how could I let it end

Wow...painfully sad..this really struck me. Hiding pain such as the pain expressed here is so hard...exellent work.

It's amazing how people can be so far apart but, be going through almost the exact same thing!! This was beautifully written!! I really enjoyed it, even though so sad!!

Thanks!!

Oh Tori... this is painfully beautiful... I have always loved your work. Keep your head high, girl! You are such a strong person and I love you for that!

Thank you Alwye, Justbleu, and ~One,
This kind of pain is deep and hard to hide..
Yet so many do, everyday.
Thanks for your kind words....

This is such a touching story. It is a song
of its own. We have all brought this feeling
with us at some time for one reason or another into the night. VEry well written.

Tori this was written just beautifully! Tho sad, I'm sorry you feel this way! Will it not help to talk to someone about it? Sometimes just to get it out helps!

Thank you so much WhtDove, this is not about me or anyone I know ? More so about that time in the night when all sadness comes to call, was just the topic I chose..
But thank you for being so concerned :-)
