( with apologies to hoot_owl_rn)

Well, it has been just ten years since I carried off that maiden
And, let me tell you peasants, that my soul is heavy laden.
It's "Clean the cave!" and "Light the fire!" and "Make me bar-b-que!"
There aren't enough hours in the day to please that little shrew!

So, dragons, hear me, one and all. The next time you're out raidin'
Think twice before you carry off a pretty little maiden.
They have a way about them that can really fix your wagon.
I'm speaking from experience. Right now my butt's a'draggin!

And he probably still has to 'show up' in bed at night! Poor thing...I feel so sorry for him!

Moral of the story is: Maidens, don't let yourselves get rescued, he'll only complain for ever after.

Quite fitting an ending, Balladeer,
to an excellent tale. You have done us proud once more.

Methinks the dragon bemoans his life
let's give him name - ah yes, the wife!

Thanks to all for your comments.

Hoot, you needn't bow to anyone. I'd be honored to have you walk beside me.
