Millennium Madness

Silicone sunsets, cyanide streams.
Digital doorways, diabolic dreams.
Plastic pregnancy, paranoid plight.
Malignant materialism, meaningless might.
Hollow heroes, headless homes.
Catastrophic crime, christened catacombs.
Makeshift matrimony, mutuality's measure,
Principle's price, passion's pleasure.

Heavenly horoscopes, hell on high.
Scandalous sovereignty, signs in the sky.
Coffee, candy, cigarettes, (sins).
Weeding out weakness, who the hell wins?
Ozone overload, obligations overdose.
Can't cover ‘em all, can't even come close.
Selling out, sighing, cynical sadness,
Mass melancholy, millennium madness.

I apologize for this - just EXTREMELY bored tonight.

Michael, what in the heck are you apologizing for? This poem is totally awesome! Can I print it and hang it up? Do you mind?

One voice is correct. Even your ramblings show us Dark wisdom.

Ditto the above Michael... Well done, an apt summation of the impending crisis.

That was too cool!!! I agree with everyone else; you may want to become bored more often!

Very very nice, Michael! I liked the "plastic pregnancy" - very interesting! I wish I spouted off things like this when bored! (envy)
