Before one can trust, one must be trusted.
Do you trust your mate not to cheat on you?
After your brother's wife have you lusted?
Can you trust and to your own heart keep true?

You can never trust the ones that you love.
For they will always hurt you in the end.
Trust me as I know well what I speak of.
Love betrays trust, on that you may depend.

Friends can be trusted far more than lovers.
Never trust a lover with your full tale.
Deception a lover's trust uncovers.
Against love and trust the hardest hearts rail.

Trust is no more than a scurrilous lie.
It is the worst lie that passion will hide.
Truth has no reward, that I wont deny.
Between lovers and friends you must decide.

Trust from your heart must always be stolen.
Lovers and friends both will carve out your heart.
With distrust your heart will become swollen.
In lover's, betrayal becomes an Art.

Portrayal is not always betrayal.
Some times you have to walk between the cloumns to get to the sanctums.
Enjoyed the poem.

Trust can be torn down, but it can also be built back up! And that I speak from experience! It is not just our lovers that hurt us, everyone has the power to do that. But God help those that choose to do that on purpose.

Lovers should be friends should be trusted, I dont think I could have it any other way. I liked the poem though.

Dream, as usual, you put your words together beautifully. However, what you say saddens me. The one you love should be your best friend, the one you trust with your deepest, darkest secrets. The one you love should be the one you trust with your life, with your body and soul... your heart. If you can't trust someone with these precious things, you do not love them. Love is trust. Love is honest. Love is truthful. Love is patient and kind... I could go on forever... I hope that one day you find its truth.
