Back With A Vengeance

You said that you loved me
That you always would
So I gave you my heart
And all that I could

How could I have known
That you weren’t sincere
You were just playing games
And you weren’t playing fair

You told me you loved me
I believed what you said
I shared all my dreams
Then shared my bed

You told me you’d call
But the weeks went on by
The phone remained silent
And I asked myself why

Now you’ve come back around
With “love” on your mind
And tons of excuses
Why you left me behind

Boy you better watch out
Better listen to me
I won’t play the fool
Just you wait and see

I’m back with a vengeance
My lesson is learned
Hell has no fury
Like a woman scorned

Hoot,
A women scorned
and a women wronged.
Enjoyed the read.

YOU GO HOOT!!! Don't let 'em play games with you. I get so sick of that "coulda, shoulda, woulda" syndrome. If weeks go by before a man calls, disconnect him.

A guy told me once when I got mad, that Hell seemed like a safe place to hide...*LOL*

Denise and Sue...thank you very much

Wolfgang...thanks, but I've found with people like that they have no sense of guilt...seeing this poem would do nothing. Thanks for your encouragement though.

Very good! A good poem and a good lesson. Men can be creeps! (Not the ones here of course..poetry writin' men are a different breed!)

So, Ms. deVine, you say these poetry writing men are a different breed? Where did they come from?

You go, Hoot. Give him what he deserves and maybe more!!! I liked this-too bad he won't change if he sees this, but who really cares? What goes around comes around.

Hoot -

very strong words. I don't think I've ever been scorned by a women, but if the responses to your wonderful piece of literature is any indication I think I'll find a cave just incase the need should arise. I think the female populous is getting ready to tar and feather the male carcasses out there. Still a well done piece of work.
