Shelter

Let me be the eye of the storm you run through
come to me when all is thundering 'round you
I'll give you tranquility and smooth your distress
whisper so softly and banish duress
I'll make all your nightmares drown in sweet dreams
hide all your heartaches and silence the screams
I'll be there for you when the winds blind your eyes
show you the truth and bury the lies
Let me take up your thoughts, suspend them in time
until all the shadows have flown from your mind
Come out of the rain, I offer you cover
Glide into the arms of this harmonic lover
I'll cast out the fears any tempest can bring
with flute-like sounds I'll softly sing
songs of peace that lull you to sleep
in a cradle of feathers wide and deep
When you awake the storms may be there
but you'll always be safe in this spirit's care

Wonderfully written. The rhyme and rythym work exceptionally well in this one. It flows very smoothly.

Caroline,
Do I have to take a number or just wait in line? Beautiful poem.

Thanks everyone, your kindness is so appreciated. I'm glad you enjoyed this one.

Seymour...there are no lines...only circles. Step in, and welcome!
