heavy clouds shouting buckets
the sudden fat rain shatters
street light's refraction
my taste for the light tender
day and this strange weather
concoction
doesn't this fit now?
doesn't this suit my point of view?
six seconds here and the gutters
gobble the rivulets gone
street lamps black out
and I miss my storm
oh and how the dreams
blurred out crazy
my thunder my thunder
and you shattered lighting
I can still feel the static raging
on and on
I still smell the suggestion of
water in the air
waiting for you to pour down
fooling myself
thinking any day now
any day now
this drought will close
and I'll have you again
breathing soft into my throat
catching my head in your hands
and I'll dissolve into your eyes
filling thick with love
and sigh
peace you see, when those eyes are mine
Wait I will, I will stand and spin in circles
tongue hanging out
waiting for the rain to the hit the ground

I found this hanging out on page 5 somewhere - with all that good imagery going to waste...
