Quite clever yarns I yearn to spin Fun pithy verse - to make folks grin Is it a gift - could I not learn A witty phrase or two to turn? Amusing tales I'd love to tell Is there a chance - could I excel At giving folks a laughing fit Could what I write cause sides to split? Although a clown I'd love to be Me thinks it's but sheer fantasy; I'd better stick with other stuff -Romantic flights and weepy fluff... It made me smile in appreciation of the fact that I too feel for that bit of wit. Perhaps in time. I've got a series that I felt was quite funny, but it has gone the way of Forum #1. |
