There's a pill for this; for that a shot;
Pain relief for whatever you've got;
A headache pill; a topical gel
And sore throat drops so you'll feel well;
Soothing cream for your muscle strain
And Novocain for your dental pain;
So many things for your aching feet;
So many things for relief complete;
Yes, something too for the babes who teethe
But for childbirth - they just say "breathe!!??

So moms-to-be - make just this one request
When the pain sets in just request the best
Oh my advice, yes, to you one and all
When labor starts - just say "epidural!!!"

Excellent poem, and is'nt it so true, they think by doing these special breathing technics the pain will be tolerable. I know I could not concentrate to do their dumb breathing games with my first one, and with my second there was no time for breathing games.

No doubt, breath! Yeah Right! Having three of them myself, I'll take the epidural anyday! Well done!

Why, thank you, Nan. You know it's funny, even after all these years, I still remember the pain! I had the first one 'natural'(no other choice at that time!) By the time I had my second daughter, they had 'invented'
the blessed epidural! The only way to go in my opinion! Thanks again for commenting!
