There's a pill for this; for that a shot; Pain relief for whatever you've got; A headache pill; a topical gel And sore throat drops so you'll feel well; Soothing cream for your muscle strain And Novocain for your dental pain; So many things for your aching feet; So many things for relief complete; Yes, something too for the babes who teethe But for childbirth - they just say "breathe!!?? So moms-to-be - make just this one request When the pain sets in just request the best Oh my advice, yes, to you one and all When labor starts - just say "epidural!!!" ------------------ Denise |

Excellent poem, and is'nt it so true, they think by doing these special breathing technics the pain will be tolerable. I know I could not concentrate to do their dumb breathing games with my first one, and with my second there was no time for breathing games. ------------------ Sometimes we have to follow a stronger voice, even if it's silent. |

Why, thank you, Nan. You know it's funny, even after all these years, I still remember the pain! I had the first one 'natural'(no other choice at that time!) By the time I had my second daughter, they had 'invented' the blessed epidural! The only way to go in my opinion! Thanks again for commenting! ------------------ Denise |
