It’s sudden and abrupt
As though a change in season
The poets that we loved
Leave us without a reason
They leave us here in woe
As if we were imprisoned
But still it’s good to know
They lived and for a reason

This deserved at least one response, if not more, so I will start the chain, I hope. Good job here paying tribute to a fellow poet.

Wonderfully written, sometimes people come and go so fast in and out of our lives here online, but every poet who has posted, leaves something behind with us.

Not only poets - it's always sad when someone drops out of our life. Well written!

Thanks everybody, I wasn't expecting so many replies. This poet for who I wrote this once stated "it's not relevant to know what caused the persons death, it's by far more important to know the reason for their life"

Hate to show my ignorance, but...who is S.B.?

P.S. Good job again.

A lovely tribute to your friend. A poet's flame lives on as this story is shared. Thank you.
