I've got the Y2K blues
My husabnd of six months
Is married to it
Night after night he brings work home
Day after day he complains...
I've got the Y2K blues...

I'm wondering if the year 2000
Is gonna cure it
Or if he will still be trying to fix it
Night after night
Day after day
I've got the Y2K blues....

Is the stoke of midnight gonna be magic
Is his job of reviewing gonna be over
Will they assign someone else to fix it
Or am I still gonna be singing this song
I've got the Y2K blues...

I know I got married for better or for worse
But Y2K wasn't part of my vows
I didn't know I'd be a widow
Six months down the road...
I've got the Y2K blues....

Just a bit of humor/complaining because I want back the man I married....not this one who is married to his laptop these days!

Here's the plan....next time he gets in the tub..take his laptop and bring it into the bathroom...tell him if he loves it so much he should treat it like he used to treat you - take a bath with it! Then toss it into the water! There, problem solved!

hmmm.... this sounds tempting.... I wonder if that would work in the shower, too.

Now that the countdown is becoming a countdown, its getting real interesting listening to all the doom sayers predicitng nuclear reactor meltdowns, thousands and millions of people dying or having babies with three heads...etc, etc, etc. It never ceases to amaze me how they all slink off into the nearest hole when their dire threats of Armageddon fall by the wayside. I guess it takes personal integrity to stand up and say, "I was wrong." Don't bet your paycheck you'll hear them say it any time soon after Y2K rolls in. Geesh - I'm getting serious here.

I feel for you, and to think there's still 4 more months to go. Hang in there it will be done, and over before we know it. Problem is prices then will be so expensive for everything will wish we were back to now, just contemplating it.

Ya know Lady deVine, if that lap top is still plugged in Lorelei might just become a widow-bride. Not the best way of solving the problem. Granted, the situation will be the same and she might be richer in dollars for the attempt, but I just don't think its the way to go.

I say call your local utilities and demand a major power spike hit your neighborhood. Not only will it fry the computer, but all the lights in the house. A perfect excuse for a candle light dinner. Best of luck!

Thanks for all the suggestions and sympathy folks,,,as for Y3K....it's gonna be a killer, cause I will be long gone, dead and buried! (Hopefully in the bosom of my maker if I don't screw this one up too bad)

Hopefully, as we speak the Reg is at the printer getting copied for the world to read and obey and my life is on the way back to normal...LJA is home with me today and working here! We have company for the long weekend!
