It seems that an author can bump his own thread in CA. See this thread: here
See the third comment. The thread was actually bumped to the top too.

Yep. I didn’t foresee that, Pete, but it’s not surprising either. Remember, CA is no longer a poetry forum? When the focus shifts from the poem to the discussion, I think perhaps a self-bump starts to make more sense.

In the rare instance where you feel the self-bump is inappropriate, feel free to simply delete the poster’s bumping post, maybe with an email as to why. The thread will drop right back to where it was.

Thanks Ron. That makes good sense. This was just the first time I had seen, or noticed, it happening.
