Dear Ron; I want my name and password to pop up like it always did...but I can't figure out how to do it?? now I have to type it in every time...Help! and thank you! Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Hi Ellie! Fagin with Tech Slopport here.. This sounds like a cookie issue, plz check your browser settings (security and cookies) are set to Medium and try again.. plz let me know if I can do anything else |

I am having the same trouble, and have it set to medium? I have to type my name and password in every time as well? Must be a setting at my end but darned if I can figure out what one it is I touched. |

/main/help.cgi The popup article on that page about cookies will answer most questions. If the problem still persists, a Trouble Report can be filed, which will be include a copy of what cookies are currently set on your machine. |

Thank you~sent my report.  Read all the pop-up thing, and couldn't find something I think I needed, but Ellie I logged in instead of going to Today's Topics as it suggests you do that - and my name and password seem to be working okay now. Try that? |

Nope back to having to re-type it in all the time, off and on, so going to give up and just type it in every time I guess. |

As you said you discovered, Sharon, logging in will reset your most important cookies. The other way to do that is to edit your Profile (you don't have to actually change anything, just go into it and click on the Submit button). It's often not a bad idea, before doing either of those, to clear all your cookies first. Once you've done that, come back here and click on this link: /main/Ultimate.cgi Delete all of your other bookmarks to the forums and use ONLY that one. Most of the other links around here don't update your cookies (else we'd be changing your arrival time with every click). The trouble report you sent indicated you had "some" cookies set, so your browser "should" be okay. You just need to give it something it can work with. |
