Ron,

Lately I have not been reciving, via email, notifications of all replies to my threads. All new threads, not really a problem. But on some of my older, larger ones, I'm fialing to get notified of all the response. Some, but not all. Such as today... on this thread: /pip/Forum40/HTML/000809-4.html I haven't been notifed for a while now. Any idea what's going on?

Sincerely,
Titus

Have you changed email addresses lately? (were you notified on this?)

It's possible that Athena is having problems, Titus, but if our web server is getting clogged it should affect everyone here. I suspect we'd ALL be getting slow or late notifications.

I'm guessing your problem is with your ISP.

I use AOL.... and until now... I've never had problems. Is America Online know for causing problems? it's odd... I get some, and I miss some. It's a tad bit frustrating, but honestly, I check anyways. I just like knowing what I get where.

I'm sorry to bump it up... but I still don't really have an answer. If you could give me anything... I'd appreciate it.

Sorry, Titus, but I don't really have an answer either. If it was our mail server causing your delays, it would be causing the delays for everyone. I promise Athena isn't picking on you specifically.

It may never have happened to you on AOL before, but I suspect that just means you've been very lucky. At one time or another, almost ALL the ISP's have intermittent and usually short-lived problems.

Hi, Titus.
I took a look at the threads you were referring
to, and 2 out of the 3 were not flagged for
e-mail notification.  I went ahead and checked
the notification box for you, so you should
start receiving them now.  The 2 that I flagged
are 'Love And Romance' and 'War On Terror'.
'The Brighter Side' was already flagged.
So...we'll see what happens.

Thank you!

How do you suppose the notifications were turned off?

in addition to the other sage-like comments in here i feel obligated to point out that AOL's mail handling can be... well... a bit unusual.
sometimes it's just that AOL has decided that you don't get mail today.
sometimes it's more than that, but let's hope for the best, shall we?
