U. S. Policy in Afghanistan

"In mid-December 2001, Robin Moore arrived in Afghanistan, where he joined his old friends, whom he had celebrated thirty-five years earlier in his book "The Green Berets" and who were now calling in air strikes and fighting alongside the armies of the Northern Alliance against the terrorist al-Qaida and Taliban.  In less than three winter months, about a hundred Green Berets accounted for the deaths of perhaps as many as forty thousand terrorist and the winning of a war in Afghanistan-where the Soviets had found fighting a war all but impossible...from the book "The Hunt For Bin Laden",  'Task Force Dagger, On the ground with the Special Forces in Afghanistan.'  Written by Robin Moore, 2003.

This is a strategy that has worked before and would have continued to work had not Predident Bush so foolishly started a war in Iraq and pulled those Special Forces from Afghanistan.

Or you can listen to Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Senator John Kery, the man that failed miserably in Viet Nam, who was pulled from Viet Nam before he served his one year obligation, and is now trying to set himself up as an expert on U.S. Policy in Afghanistan.

I would prefer to place my trust in the Special Forces, in 2001, in 2002, in 2009 and into the future...

Clearly John Kerry is a fake.
The Taliban had to pay for harboring Al Kata.
We cannot win the wars we are involved in. But there are pluses as well.
Our solders are getting combat experience.
I think we need to contain Iran.
Thanks for the write James.
You always post interesting ideas.
