United States of Socialist Republics (USSR)

I've had my fill of Presidential candidates
that talk of socialism like it is the natural
progression of an evolving Democratic society.
To be more precise, it is a regression into
the mediocracy of a nanny nation, where the
notion that the government, not our Creator,
and certainly not ourselves, will be our
nourisher and our provider from birth until
our death; a government that freely promotes
abortion, taking the life of innocent children,
and coming soon to local Walmarts, to pacify a
nanny nation, euthanizm will be available for
those that desire an easy and painless death.

Dear Mr. Michael,

I notice that you attribute Mr. Lee's statement to something published or delivered on May day, 2008, while you managed to post it on April 30, 2008.  Mr. Lee is quite fixed on the word "Nanny."  This I seem to recall was a somewhat ambiguous word we used to use in kindergarden during recess when we wished to throw an insult we didn't quite understand in the direction of somebody who was a little bit brighter than we were.  It was supposed to be a smear and to prove we were superior.  Do you suppose Mr. Lee was trying to do something this silly?

The rest of Mr. Lee's statement never rises much above this level.  There is no coherent train of actual reasoning through it and nothing that actually amounts to an adult statement of position.  Nowhere in Mr. Lee's statement is there an actual quote from any of the Democrats that he tries to smear or actually any attempt to connect any of their actual statements to any of the accusations being made.

Nor do I see any particular reason given for your choice in sharing this with us.

Not that I see evidence that suggestions are welcome, but The Skeptical Inquirer is an excellent publication dedicated to checking out absurd claims, pseudo science and the like, and if you glance through their pages you may notice that fortune telling and channeling from the spirit world and from the future are generally poorly regarded on the basis of the evidence.

I myself often disagree with them, of course; but them I'm a Liberal.  My only thought is that you need to give your fortune teller a raise and a better education.
