Where no tyranny is tolerable

(this is an excerpt from my forcoming opus magnus fantasticum titled: A fairy tale of the new Millennium.  This work may be available in twenty years, for it does not now exist.
Well, like we are all daydreaming up here ...

Page 266:
Horse.

I am deeply moved to write you again, because  These last two emails to me
are so precious, because they are more revealing, more filled with news, and
more infused with love than (truly) anything I have ever gotten in an entire
year of cyber jabber with you, dear horse.  You could never have known that,
because of cyber goblins, I never got so many of the emails meant for me;
they were never even getting here.  And I could not have known (because of
those same space goblins) that all the time you had been writing me more
often than I thought you were, that you were revealing in those lost
messages much that would have brought assurance and comfort to my soul, if
only I had received them, and if in response you got from me more demands on
your time, more details about your marriage, escalating demands that you
meet my selfish needs at once, then you must have wondered Why I seemed so
obsessed, so possessed, for no apparent reason, and maybe even wondered what
had become of the octopus and the flying salamander you once had known so
well, or thought you knew, and why was I now throwing "tantrums?"  (If Pam
were here she would point out this was a run on sentence).

I believe now that (because of the goblins) you truly had no inkling that I
wasn't even getting your rides.

And, my dear horse, did you even know that I never even heard of your sol
friend radish until just last week? To think that such an important part of
your life, which you meant for me to know, was completely hidden from me for
a whole dammed year.
It recalls for me the time some few years ago, when you
could not contact me by any means or medium, and how a rising concern drove
you to cowbird, the snail and chicken and   the Opossum Institute for news;
did they know what was happening and whether I was okay; and it was all
because I could not afford to keep the telephone connected.  And how, once
we finally did get connected, everything was explained and all the confusion
cleared up, so that you could use my Jaws afflicted computer to communicate
with cockroaches,

and everything.   Pam is screaming: you can make at least nine sentences out
of that, so chop it up chop it up would I? Or she might say: compound
sentence here ... lots of independent clauses, and everything).

Horse, please do not feel obligated to respond  to this ponderous, demented
and incoherent message.  I will never again pursue you  to keep writing me
more often and insist that you meet my selfish needs when you can not.  I will have to get some decent riding lessons, first,  And
I am prepared for the fact that these may be your last personal emails, and
that I may never hear from you again.  But I keep the saddle, just in case it is ever needed again.

But that may be just as well because they are taking from me the computer that I use to saddle you with,, because I can not find the words to convey the
gentleness, gratitude, kindness and regard I so deeply feel for you anyway, even if I could keep it just a little longer.
...

That's Carolle King they are playing here.

So far away.

Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore ... ...

BTW ... And did I ever tell you?  I'm a Steelers fan now!  That's right!

You stole my heart away to fix what was wrong inside of it, and gave it back
to me even better than when it was new.

I guess next time I'll have to be sure to lock the door!

But, of course, not even locked doors will stand in her way for very long!

And perhaps, with her superb command of English, her towering intellect and
her immense compassion for each of us who, day bu day, must grapple with
this awkward messy, painful, bloody, broken thing that we call life.
Perhaps some day she will help me find a way of sharing all of this
fantastic story with a still too dark and troubled world.  This incredible
cyberspace saga, this fairy tail of the new millennium.

But, I guess, only a woman could ever write a thing like that.

Southern Cross

(With all the personal details and identities disguised and all mixed up of
course)

Fabulous!  Absolutely fabulous.  I hope the saga is one for the ages, although I fear it might be one no one could ever believe and who knows may require institutionalization upon telling.  May peace (of both mind and spirit) and love be with you this holiday season...and may inspiration arrive for you on gentle wings...which may be a mixed message, the wings part anyway.  Dicypher well.  Hope to read more!...a_mews_mi
