Liquid fire burns my throat and warms my heart.
It flows in my blood and reaches every part of my body, down to every finger and into every cell, drowning out the screams to let it go.
It is light outside but dark red veils hang over my eyes and turns everything to blood. The liquid rage burns for a while, but soon it will be quiet and lines will have no definition. Colours blur and become a single shade, scarlet and angry. It will tell me to keep going, keep swallowing, because anything is better than this. This rage will be quiet and the edges no longer sharp. It howls in my ears and yet not a curtain rustles, nor do footsteps stop at my door.
Ice glass touches my lips but it lies. It promises nothing and gives everything. It will give me strength and no borders. Everything is possible, but only sometimes. Soon lines will slide and numbers will blur and nothing will hold meaning anymore.
It is all meaningless and irrelevent and not a person will see the colour in the flowers or the brightness of the stars because it is polluted with anger and clean sharp lines of pain, stroking and caressing me with words of love and blood comfort, in the form of perfect white squares to be downed with a single thought that nothing is worse than this, even if everyone says there are.
