This I Believe...
By Larry Chadwick

That reason cannot know all, otherwise there is no value in faith. That fear and doubt cannot know all, otherwise there is no value in hope. That grace, thank God, gives value to love. And without faith, hope and love life has no meaning. But love, that is the greatest.

May 16, 2005

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Larry, I read this when you first posted.

I was, in a word, overwhelmed,
that you would/could melt down
the teachings
without egoism, just as He did.

I know of some of your losses...
I know of the greatest one...

still, your faith

Prevails.

WOW, Larry!   Make that a double and triple Wow and multiply them together!  So much said in the perfectly chosen words, and so few of them at that!  Much enjoyed putting all the wisdom in a nutshell.

Karilea,
Wow. Thanks. Like most things it popped into my head and I assumed I would write a one page prose. But after a couple of lines it seemed I was done. Pity it takes such serious losses to prove our faith, hope & love. Thank you again.

miscee,
I'm pretty sure people that are nuts don't have to look far for nutshells! And thank you, thank you, thank you x's 2.
