The cabinets and cupboards were dusty and bare in the home of the newlyweds. Times were tough during this holiday season for young Dee and his wife, Marie. Marie was seven months pregnant and could no longer work, as ordered by her obstetrition. On top of that, the owner of the little diner that Dee worked at was cutting labor, and Dee was barely bringing in enough to get by.

Worry and doubt riddled the young husbands mind.
"How in the world..." he sighed in despair as he thumbed through the monthly bills, which were already past due. Week by week, the poor layman would cash his check, only to disperse his hard earned money among the hungry collectors. Where were all of his " friends " he wondered. He was always eager to lend a helping hand when others were in need, but in his time of need, he was all but abandoned.

" You alone I depend on Father, " Dee prayed,
" please help me provide for Marie."

Coming from a poor family, Dee had relied on faith to carry him through many trials and tribulations. He would never hesitate to ask the God in which he so strongly believed for grace to sustain him in hard times. Apparently. God had always been there, making ends meet, ever so earnestly, but nonetheless providing ways to pull through.

Life does appear to be a struggle for Dee and Marie, but that's only for the time being. Somewhere, deep down in their hearts, there is a calming sense of security, and peace; an assurance that defies natural understanding. They know that come what may, they always have each other, and they always have a Father that loves them dearly, and will never let their needs go unmet.

And so they carry on, never losing hope. They've made it this far, each with a story to tell, and a thanks to give, not only for God's abundant provision, but for the mysterious joy He has placed in their hearts.

A lovely story of love, trust, and faith. I'd like to hear more about this story, is there a second part coming up?

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee
