i'm new at this

anything that you have to say
is greatly appreciated.

we were always scared of your grandfathers nursing home;
tripping over wheelchairs and lost reminisces that seemed
to float in the air. and your grandfathers hands; the ones that
would never let go. there was always fear. and it was hard to
smile and mean it. You always had to know the right things
to say and you always had to remember that moment. because
it might never come again.

summer was always the perfect time to push your handprints
into the sandboxes and play frisbee with the clouds. and you
always had pink lemonade and jars full with beautiful butterflies.
and you loved to trace the outlines of his fingertips. she loved
to whisper the words please forgive me.

and time was nothing but numbers on the wall.
love was only meant for people who believed in it.
his blue eyes only made me run faster away.
i never did want to fall.

so, while the sun sets on another day; i'm waiting for those words that make me stay.

All I have to say is that if you're new at this, then you'll just get better with time. I enjoyed it very much, I like your style... you remind me of me at my best (and that's a good thing). Keep writing ^_^
