Angela had just found out some big news. For about ten years, she had lived with what she thought was her family, her mom and dad, older brother Jason and older brother Kevin. However, Kevin just told her she was adopted and so were they. Her jaw dropped and her ears closed with deaf disbelief. Several moments later she told of her disbelief. Kevin told her to go ask their mom and dad.

She ran from the room and rushed down their steps. Out of breathe and wide-eyed, she tried to ask her parents if it were true or not. "Take a deep breath, honey" Mrs. White said. Angela did so and then in a hurry asked them " Mom, Dad, am I adopted?"Her parents paused, looking a little upset.A few moments went by in slience.
Finally her father spoke up. " Yes honey you, Jason, and Kevin are adopted." Angela looked at her father, then her mother. " We...wanted to wait till you were older so you would understand, " said Mrs. White. " Are you mad at us darling?" questioned Mr. White. " No , but I am suprized I guess I mean, I never knew, I don't know any diffrent, I remember nothing, noone!" Angela said."You were very young, honey when your father and I adopted you, " replied Mrs. White. "Oh" was all Angela said. She left the kitchen but, then turned and hugged her parents and told them she loved them. They told her they loved her.

She walked up the steps to her room and sat on her bed and gazed out her window at the many vibrant, colorful birds which resembled spring flowers and autumn leaves so much. Tears welled in her eyes at their beauty. She cried for a little while and then stood up, wiping the tears from her eyes. With a sigh she wondered what this all meant. She knew she was loved and that she loved them all very much!

Deciding nothing had changed in her mind, she went downstairs and went outside to play some basketball with her brother Jason. They played to their hearts' content until dark.

Then they came in and ate dinner as a family. Angela really felt she now had a family and she belonged with them.

Six Years Later

"Man it's hout in here!" came Angela's voice behind some boxes. " I know what you mean!" said Kevin, walking past with some boxes. They were up in their attic looking for old pictures of themselves when they were younger. They had been in there for about two hours when just as Angela was about to leave Kevin let out a gasp of suprize. He rushed past her and sat on the floor and took off the box lid. To both of their amazement they were pictures of their old life. They were of them and their real parents. There were also some pictures of the foster parents Jason and Kevin stayed with before they came to live at the Whites when they were adopted.

"Wow, let me see those" cried Angela.
"Shhh" said Kevin.
"Sorry" Angela said her hand out streched. Kevin gave them to her and looked at him some himself. After a few minutes they hid them to show Jason later on. After that they went on downstairs and went on a bike ride.

Thank you for sharing your story.  I can imagine how happy you were to find those pictures, filling in some missing blanks.  You sound very appreciative of all.  Keep
writing.  Enjoyed your story.

miscellena:
Thanks for reading my story! I had mixed emotions looking at those pictures. I never knew unlike my two sisters. We are all blood and I am so very grateful we didnt get split up. I have the best dad ever and my mom was wonderful. I now have a step-mom, noone can replace my mom but if anyone ever had a twin they didnt know about it would be her! Take Care!
