Rambling Across A Broken Heart

You can not make someone love you, no matter how much you want them to. And the hurt can press upon you so heavily that you can’t breathe. To the very point that you think you are going to die. But you don’t. And you wonder when you will stop stumbling and scrapping your heart. And when all you are and all you have to give is adequate.
Most people, are never happy with what they have and they don’t understand what it is that is worthwhile and what is not. Maybe I need to start seeing that myself. It is not that easy to accept things you can not change, yet I shall go on, pretending to live until life catches up with me again. And I can breathe once more without the pain.
For now I find all of my emotions misplaced or displaced. I feel like a silhouette without a set pattern being torn from the paper with lack of scissors, all raw edges curling, trying to be places where I don’t fit.
Regrets are not worth it. In taking risk, I chanced to love you. I lost. But at least I chanced. And somewhere in the back of my mind, not today, but some day, I know I will have been better for loving you. But today, I am just not that strong.

helen,
Some valleys make the mountains look really tall! I'm hoping that you walk in the sunshine. It has been many years since I have felt these challenges. Though heartache is something that I am familiar with, I struggle to understand how someone as kind as you is treated this way. Excellent write. Peace.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Such a lovely way of portraying such powerful and painful emotions. Although you are in pain, I see a lot of insight and strength  in this. Hang in there, you DO have in in you to get through this... but I have a feeling that you know that already!

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee
