Stillness fills my soul. Nothing moves, nor speaks, nor sighs. All I see is unmoving. The sounds that reach my motionless state do not stir me from my wakeful slumber.
All I wish is for a tear; maybe a breath, but a tear will do; something to move in this silent, frozen, gray world where I’ve been trapped. A tiny gasp, a squirm or two; anything to make this immobile, pale land become alive. I pray a still and silent prayer. Asking for hope, I close my eyes.
I open them again, and blink. Excitement grows beneath me, and I am lifted up. I’ve moved! My wish, my prayer, the hope has come!! At last I can break free from the torment of stillness!
Standing for the first time, I walk, and I begin to run. I skip and jump and DANCE!! Oh I dance, with joy in my soul! Spinning, and spinning, running, and twisting! Arms held high, round and round, never stopping. Out of breath, gasping for air; smiling, and running, falling, and rolling.
I feel the grass beneath me. I see the sky above, and the clouds, and the SUN!! Oh the marvelous sun!! The trees, and grass, and COLORS! Birds and squirrels, I frolic freely in the warmness of a new day.
Suddenly I slow down to a halt, as I realize there is something missing. I look around at the beautiful new world I’ve stumbled into, and wonder how anything could be better. A tear comes into my eye; will I have to be still again? The tear rolls down my cheek, the movement makes more tears come. To give it up would be murder. I fall to my knees in the grass, and try, and try to figure out what’s missing. A sob escapes my lips, and the tears stop.
Looking towards the heavens I stand again, and I laugh. Laughter rings through my ears, and through the trees and grass, and the clouds and the whole sky! I sing songs I’ve never known, and I shout and scream!! I dance and run, and skip, and sing, and laugh, and take in the beauty of this world! I soak it all up, until I am saturated with it. Arms outstretched and my whole body spinning, round and round and round again, I shriek, and scream joyously to the blue skies.
Dusk sets in, and the sky becomes dark. Tiny jewels glisten against the inky blackness, shimmering in all their glory.
I sit content and smile, and then I think to myself, what a wonderful world.

Such tears in a time of need, is not a reasonable term of sanity. It is but a reasonable term of human imperection. Normal is what you make it.

I see. Very interesting, I take coming from inner you? It's very well writen, you have the talent in you, the way you discribe things really reminds me of some of my work   The par when she runs and jumps and screams and waves and rolls over the grass, I couldn't discribe the joy better. Cool twist... with the while tears and laughter thing... Great job, the more you write the better you'll become ^.^ looking for more

Thank you so much.
What I really wanted to do was create an atmosphere of complete bliss when she was running and jumping and spinning, and so on. A total difference from what she felt while she was unmoving. So thank you again for the kind words.
