To Dream Again
By Larry Chadwick

I was seduced in my sleep by a dream about you. Raptured by intimacies that lovers seldom know. Ecstasies that fantasies imagine and that reality longs for. Drawn by the potential that only we could consummate. Potential that begs for me to wake in pursuit of my dreams.

If I shared my dream with you would it end? Is reality compatible with such intimacy? Would living my dream create a nightmare? Perhaps it is the timing of my dream. Is it too soon or too late? I’m not sure I possess enough courage to want to know.

I long to be seduced again in my sleep by a dream about you. Raptured by intimacies that lovers seldom know. Ecstasies that fantasies imagine and that reality longs for. Drawn by the potential that only we could consummate. Potential that still begs for me to wake in pursuit of my dreams. But for now…I would rather dream.

That's what writing is for...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

James,
Thanks I always like the opinion of a romantic. But then you knew that!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Boy have I been feeling this lately! Or at least, my own personal version of it. I don't pretend to know exactly what you're talking about.

The dreaming is so difficult when paired with memories so alive that they can be felt. When you remember... but when there is not quite enough knowledge there to know whether or not reality would survive the pursuit. I think I'm saying what I mean. Probably not.

Anyway, I enjoyed this. Nice to see that I am not the only one.

Jaime,
If you think you got it I think I got your message too. Should we be worried?
