GOD IS AT THE TOP (OF JACOBS LADDER)

Jacob stands alone in a world all his own.  People try to visit him every once in a while, but never seem to stay long.  Nobody seems to care.  He and Jesus are the only ones he’s really ever loved, he never could stay committed.  Pondering about the world keeps him awake at night, things never go the way that they would (if God was at the top).  “But nobody can see the world,” he says, “through the eyes of my soul.”
Every day he climbs his later, to his holy place.  As he climbs, he stops to pray at every rung.  “The first,” says Jacob, “is prayed up on the ground.  The ground is the base where all must begin.  I pray in thanks for God, for all of his creation, for the love he bestows upon us all.”
Jacob continues on and the first step always seems to be the worst.  He bows his head as he climbs on up, and these words are what he says…  “Lord, please forgive me, for I know now what I’ve done.  Every sin has hurt you, and from now I’ll try to be a good son.  In your name, God Almighty, I pray this, Amen.”
He looks up only to see that he’s still got a long way until the end.  As he steps up again, his foot slips off the rung.  His faith is unfaltering, and his strength is shown as he climbs up.  “I know, Lord, that You test me and I know my faith is true.  I want you to use me in every way you can, and I promise I will never let you down.”
As he rises toward the top, the ladder stabilizes and each step is more trusting than the last.  He knows that God will hold him and will never let him fall.
When Jacob takes that final step, he looks up to heaven and grins.  “Thank You, God,” he exclaims, “For all You have given me.  I hope everyone can see You and feel this joy I feel.
Every day there’s many people that try to climb to the top.  Their faith is always tested, many fail as they climb.  But joy comes to the few who never had a doubt, put each step in God’s hands and know it all will be okay.  To all who make it up, comes knowing that things could happen as they would (because God IS at the top).

If someboy laughs at me, does that make me funny or just plain stupid?
