I had the opportunity of a few cocktails to ask our resident poet laureate Toe Rag a few questions about what makes good poetry and how is it he is inspired to write such life changing pieces as  “What’s for Lunch” which I will reprint here for your enjoyment and to give you a taste of the depth with which this great man writes.

I quote from the poem
“Mary had a little lamb,
But now the lamb is dead.
Now Mary takes the lamb to school,
Between two slabs of bread”

Knowing this is only the surface of his truly multi faceted character I will offer one more of his beloved poems for your consideration before we get to the questions. To round out the offering here I chose “Old Moral Me”

The world is going straight to hell,
As I'm sure you all have seen,
Seems there's bad news everyday,
Murders-rape and robberies.

It's not safe out on the street,
It's unsafe to be alone,
Nasty obscene calls when
You pick up the telephone.

We once could leave our doors unlocked,
Feel secure and worry not
But now that would be ludicrous,
You'd surely end up robbed.

It's because of that damned internet,
I read so just yesterday,
They really need to censor it,
There's just no other way.

I don't know how we'll ever stop
The smut from near and far,
And all that porn I see nightly,
On my VCR!

As we can all see Toe’s commitment to the social condition of man and all creatures is far beyond that of normal poets and writers. Toe lives his commitments as evidenced in the following
question and answer session.

Q. Toe I know all that honor you have read your prolific and wonderful poetry offerings. Do you have anything you can share with the younger writers that might guide them along their own writing careers?

A. Glad you asked that Ron. You know I am presently trying to raise money for the Toe Foundation a non profit organization committed to creativity in our young people. Our first group of applicants have been carefully screened and are now receiving one on one tutoring from myself and my old friend Balladeer. If I were to share one thought however with all young writers it would be “If I catch you stealing my ideas, your dead meat punks.”

Q. Toe I take it from your answer the foundation you have formed serves all young writers that qualify?

A. Absolutely Ron, I personally screen all applicants that meet the minimum requirements.

Q. What are the minimum requirements for an applicant?

A. Female, lose morals and preferably a lot of money.

Q. What about the young men that write? Doesn’t your foundation serve their needs as well?

A. Let them get their own.. er.. I mean yes. .occasionally I indulge a young man and provide services through the back door policy we instituted.

Well this has been an informative discussion and I want to thank you for taking time to speak with us today. One last question:

Q Do you have anything to say in closing?

A. The bars closing? You are picking up the tab aren’t you? You know I left my wallet at home.

Aren't you clever, el capitan!

You asked such probing questions of Pip's philanthropist! An interview of such caliber should be shown on 60 minutes! The segment could be entitled: Pip's Poet Laureate Squeaks! tehe

Warm hugs,

Ron...and thanks for those videos...they are really good....Especially that "Debbie Does Denver"......that other one you starred in: "Cpat Hook"...was interesting to say the least....the plot was a little weak however.....

Toe, glad you enjoyed the videos... by the way that wasn't me starring in the Cpat Hook film... I just wrote the screenplay. Thought I did a pretty good job myself considering the only real word I got to use was "Yes!"

I'll have the ones you dropped off for me returned soon. Toesmanian Devils is by far my favorite of those.... and I imagine your ego was really stroked that they used that telescopic lense for your close up... it does seem to stretch the imagination that anything that small could appear so large on film.... but illusion is everything I guess..

Cpat...be sure not to lose that other one I starred in....John Holmes had already died, so I was the next in line....and, when they saw how "big" I was...they renamed it..."Sore Throat"....the gal was great..and after the movie...everyone thought she had a "great head" on her shoulders..

Grinning at Linda's first reply.
The others are amusing, too.

Overall, thanks for the giggles this morning.

It's only in the US that you can be a woman proud to have a sore throat! LOL

After sharing this with a few people sitting here and laughing, I've finally gotten a chance to reply...

and I have absolutely nothing to say because I am laughing too hard!

you didn't tell me it was a comedy.. loved the special effects.. just need to know..did those spurs hurt when he was gougin you in the side with them hollering "Buck Boy..Buck!"

best thing for a sore throat is a little whiskey and honey...
or is that whiskey and a  little honey...

guess with enough of either your throat may hurt but you are either numb to the pain or to busy with the honey to notice...

Now Toe..in spite of his bragging is not likely to give anyone a sore throat.. he might tickle the back of your tongue... but that is as far as Toe can go... he's very sensitive about people's Toensils... and their health.

I told him I liked this dog owned by a mouse once and he thought I said, "Blue toe!"

Just look what he did to himself after that to get attention!

Is this the start of the Cphat Hair Chronicles?  If it is I will have to learn how to say "Sissssfat" first.
