In the glowing cheery hallway of Grantier High School she sat.  Around her  the usual smiles of friends greeting friends, all those heavenly faces. She stood out like a firery rose in a blizzard.  Her skin was pale almost grey, like the smog of the city. Her hair was sharp and edged like a razor, the colour of frozen fingers. Her eyes black and silent, silent like the snow. She'd been locked away before and the taste of iron alwyas ringed her mouth.

She hated moving, every month a new home. The places were not usually that bad but this one had to be the worst. All the colour made her whoosy, Never seen so much colour in one hallway. Her father was alwasy finding bigger and better houses he liked and with his job he could move pretty much anywhere. At times she wouldn't even unpack, Hoping one day he'd stop moving and they'd settle and have a somewhat balanced lifestyle, a normal life, But those were the things that only happened on television. A perfect family, a perfect grade and trivial problems solved in 22 minutes. Utter Crap.

Her temple began to pound, palms going sweaty, she knew any second  the bell would ring and she'd be in her english class the one of the day she dreaded the most. The one with them in it. Why couldn't  they just get that she wanted to be alone, she didnt need them or anyone. For a minute she thought about  going home but then she'd have to share the house with her dads new girlfirend. One of those dumb blondes who like to rollerblade and go on rollercoasters, not to mention she was half the age of her dad.

She pulled herself up and rolled a lifesaver around in her mouth. Pull yourself together she pleaded inside her head. She took those dreaded steps to her classroom. Strangers eyes followed her wondering where she came from and what she was doing in their school. It was like gloom at a wedding, she was gloom, shouldn't have been there. She took one last breath and headed into the double doors of the room.  She walked down the aisles of desks and herad whispering all around, The whole room whispering. Buzzing like bees all in her ears, but she can't swat them away they are everywhere. Eating off her, her flaws making them smile, there perfect pearly smiles clenched at the sight of this outsider. Nobody says anything to her the whole class when the bell rings the buzzzing is over.

"Bliss, It's good to see a new face at this school. How are you fitting in?"
The teacher asks like she really cares, Bliss knows that the teacher is worried how shes going to bring the class average down, her perfect class and now she gets this girl, (If you could call her that) so late in the year how will she ever make it through midterms....yadda....yadda...yadda.
Bliss smiles at the teachers concerned look and replies in the sweetest angel voice she can managae " Much easier here then my old school, thanks".

Bliss strutts away but not too soon so that she could see the glee in the teachers face.  She hadn't heard a word of the teachers lecture today and she knew she'd pay for it in the long run. But isn't that the case for everything?

"Mememeetmeeet", Bliss pushed the snooze button on her alar, recalling last nights events, it teared her up still thinking about it. Stay calm, be rational....he didnt mean it hes just a liar like always. You cant trust anyone remember? Bliss thinks to herself.

Last night she had been sitting at the kitchen table, the sun had been setting and shed pulled out an old tape that was playing. It had been the perfect place to escape.

Excellent glimpse into the agony of a teen who is forced to move constantly along someone else's pathway. May she find her own path or roots, soon.
Well done! Hope you will continue to add to this one.
