To Every Person I have Loved, LOVE, and Will Love Forever
Do you think God could love you through a person?

This is a question of astounding implications, and ultimately a question of faith.  It is astounding in that the truth of the answer will vanquish all misconceptions about love, and life.  It is a question of faith because you have to believe that what I’m holding in my heart is true.

I had a dream last night that inspired me to write this.  In it, there was a giant skylight in my room that allowed an awesome bright light to shine on me.  It is pure, free, and complete.  This sunlight is INSIDE.  This is the light of love unconditional, and which I can share by focusing it on you.

Now the problem, or rather, miniscule obstacle, lies in the denial of this truth.  I say THIS truth, because not only it is mine, but everybody’s.  It is the unbreakable covenant that you will love and be loved always.  Without faith, this promise appears hollow.  Yet it seems hollow because of all of the cloudy misconceptions about love.  What is love?

What do you believe love is?  Look inside, and take the highest ideal you’ve ever had about it.  Hold this ideal to the light.  In this intense scrutiny will be your answer, and an unspeakable salvation.

Let me state what I know love is NOT.  Love is not need and dependency.  Love requires nothing.  Love is not a “game”, an obligation, a façade.  Love is not pain, or “heartache”, quiet suffering, and fear. Love is not deception, or drama.

Love is your shining star. Love is the highest, most luminous thought you can ever hold in your mind. Love is freedom from oppression! Love in your life will set you free!  Love is blessing.  Love is who we are.  Love is a treasure.  Love is truth and joy.  I know that love is capable of being expressed without any condition whatsoever.  If that’s not God, then what is?

I was drawn to this piece by the title, and found something quite interesting indeed.  You pose many interesting questions, and have a semingly definate answer.  While I do agree that God's love is greater than all, I do honestly question if there are not other forms of it.  Now, you do ask if we could be loved through a person by God, and while I think it is possible, it does bring into question whether we are autonomous beings or not.  Like I said, many very interesting questions posed and I'd love to sit and chat with you about it sometime.

Love does require something, if it's to last.

Maverick,

There are innumerable, INFINITE ways of expressing LOVE. I'm not an expert on all the ways of expressing it, but I do know that it is what I am made of.  We are autonomous beings, capable of choosing where our love is dispatched.  But where does this love come from?  This is a question that has been asked a million times over in every circle of humanities throughout the universe.

ultimately-
Its all about the faith. Thanks for your response.
