Dear Daddy, June 27, 2001
I miss you tons, without you it’s weird. I sometimes see you looking at me when I’m up late I see you in your hospital gown. Then I get scared because I am not happy that you died, then I just keep talking to Kelly and forget your even there. Mom went to Finland and she asked you to watch us, I believe you are watching all of us. I made a difference on someone’s life they love my attitude. I have so dear friends every where they encourage me to move on. In my book there is a story called Chasing the Rainbow’s it has to do with this girl and her dad looking at rainbows, one day the girl was driving and her cell phone rang it was her mom. Telling her, her daddy’s dying so she drives to the hospital and gives him a good bye hug.  I always think of that story when I’m sad or I think of you, I’m a senior daddy! One more year of school then I’m going to college and no one is sending me to a “TECH school” no way am I going to school until 22. They must be crazy, I let them do everything but that’s going to change they’ll see. Because you’d ask before you said “oh I think she should go to school until 22”, I promise I’ll go to Fitchburg State College, after that I’ll move with Kelly and get a new dog. Because Lucy’s getting old, so when she dies I’ll have another dog waiting for me to love them and they’ll love me too. Lucy is so dear to me daddy she’s always watching me everywhere I go even if I use the bathroom, when I go for a shower she’s waiting outside with her big brown eyes. She always sits next to me sometimes she’ll put her paws in my spokes so I can’t move we are best friends. I have 3 stories one of you Kelly and Lucy everyone loves them I also have poems of all three of you. When I’m sad I write about you that I share them with friends, they go on the web on my web site. I sometimes think your behind me when I write poems, letters. I hope you like the letter
Your daughter,
Minna

Minna, I have two daughters who are seniors this year and I have been in the hospital a couple of times. This story touched my heart. I know that your dad would be very proud of you, I feel as your mom does, that he's watching over you. Get the best dog you can. They make great friends.
