"It has become painfully obvious that we as a nation are becoming terribly plagued by problems, problems that of which when compared to those of the past beg for the unity of this nation as one. A unity that the forefathers invisioned in their hopes and dreams but did not live long enough to see, and perhaps we will share their fate. I can not say that the time has come for change because I believe that we have all long known that it was already at hand. A radical course of action must occur amoung us as a nation for these problems can not be conqured.. nor attempted to be defeated until we can effectivly translate and understand a meeting of thought and opinion, not just from our government but from the people, and not in the form of a vote but as a cry from the very heart of his nation, which is the people. If we can not join hands and apply ourselves to a cause greater than ourselves, we will be hopelessly lost and the hands that you once should have joined with will not be. That which is less than perfect through current eyes of this nation and its people will become utterly unsatisfactory in an obvious way for those who can manage to step outside the grasp of their denile. Keep in mind that by no means am I suggesting peace amoung us all, because with a free nation there will aways be that small consequence of disagreement. However I am asking for understanding amoung those who share this vision. If you are smart enough to hate you have the intellegence to find a common bond and accomplish a common goal that is by all means bigger than the sum of our parts as a people. Then and only then perhaps we can postpone our appocolypse." |

An interesting idea, I truely hope that sometime we will hear such words from many of our elected officials, who finaly represent the people of this nation and not their own private interests. Good words, they make a very interesting argument. Keith every day is a new day with which we can change the world |
