sorry to flood the forum with my words, but Ive been feeling wordy recently.

I find it odd that so many people judge their success on the amount of money they accumulate, or the number and price of the things they own.  They think that because they live in a three-story mansion on a lake in the upper crust part of town and drive a shiny new car, that they have achieved some great monumental thing.  That’s all well and good, if that’s what you want.  But you have to ask yourself, did you set that goal for yourself, or did someone else
To me, success is in accomplishing ones goals in life.  If its your goal to be a great writer or philosopher, and you achieve that goal, you are as successful as people get.  If you wanted to be a good husband or wife, to stay home and take care of the kids and be supportive of your family, and you follow through on your desires, you are a success.  So what if you didn’t go for that management position or that extra degree at school.  You might live in that big house on the lake, you might not, who cares.  You’ve done what is important to you, not what society says should be important to you.  Whatever you want to be, or whatever you want to do, strive to be the best at it, give it your all, put your heart into it, bleed for it, maybe even die for it, then you are a success.  Don’t let others tell you that you need to do this, or you need to be that.  They are just filling your ears with a load of worthless garble.  Its your dreams and ideals that matter, no one else’s.  Live, breath, eat, sleep, think, dream, work, play all for you.  Then you are a success.

Nicely said.  Success is what you make of it.  I like the words of inspiration.  Nice write.

I think this was nicely said.  If you achieve success in the goals that you set for yourself, everything else is just gravy.
Well done!
