hmmm....i've posted three threads in here in the past few days, and i figure if i keep posting, maybe i'll get some feedback, since i never seem to get any.
____________

After I write this it will be like this is already over; as though the clock's hands have slipped slowly past the twelve, creeping insidiously towards the six, the hands of hours reaching the warm fingertips of the minutes, second by second in the heat of this obligatory afternoon.

Time is always of the essence.

Time marks the years between us, and time builds the brick walls and the turrets that separate us from coming to terms with our emotions; time creates the stretches of barren earth we must travel across in order to approach our final destination. Time is essential to this love, to you and I, to the here-and-now.

Even if I only have a few minutes before the afternoon erupts into the calm of evening.

It seems you're always asking how I am, when no one else is around. It seems you're always stalling for time, when no one else is around.

When no one else is around. And I watch you just the same: trace your lips with the pupils of my eyes and fall in love over and over again.

Outside, the streets hum with traffic and the roadsides are decorated with snow, soiled by leaking exhaust pipes and melted by the heat of tire-friction. The lights change, the clock ticks.

And I love you. I wonder if you know that.

These are some great thoughts. You have a really good writing style, and I hope to see more of your work soon!

Hello Aurora

I finally found you here and am happy to reply to your post as did you to one of mine. You have a flair for writing.  Do I understand correctly that you are high school age?  If so your work is even more important because as you develop your skills and mature your insights you will rumble past the crowd.  I am diametrically opposite agewise, being much older than the average member.  But I can relate to you that the pleasure of growing and improving never stops.  It becomes a little more sophisticated perhaps, but with a sincere effort you can cancel that out. Thanks for your words.
