I'm Not Dave Barry [a walk through my mind]

Don't you enjoy Dave's way with words?  Articulate and encompassing, passing laughter along like so many dust motes in the sun, sparkling with life and laughter at what so many take so seriously until someone says "get a life" and we go out and buy one.  And if one can't buy a life, they attempt to purchase their happiness.

Happiness is where your heart and mind are safe and warm, happiness is where you don't have to look around searching, for it has come to you with open arms and welcoming hands, and has taken many shapes and sounds and feelings that emanate forth in various ways.  Sometimes the way to find happiness is to quit searching, perhaps it was around you to begin with.

Taking off our rose colored glasses, it is time again to take stock of our lives, asking "self" what would be changed if the power were to come, and that could be done?  That old "if I knew then what I know now" phrase repeats itself for the zillionth time, and these thoughts evolve:

"I would have worked smarter, not harder, using talents, not time; more introspection when younger, certainly, following more head than heart; would have taken the time to look both ways, instead of just straight ahead, for I didn't know what might have been behind me that I would have appreciated; I don't know that I could have laughed any more than I had…I've been accused of laughing too much…;"

but it's about at this point of the self-reflection that one says…wait…this is what must be done: go ahead and put now into action, work smarter, not harder, use my talents, or at least, try; and know that all future actions will have concrete re-actions so one must not jump willy-nilly into the want of now, but to plan accordingly, and trust in the spiritual of it all that for every time, there is a season, and it is within our power to enjoy all seasons, and if all seasons don't come in their time, to remember that there might be yet another plane where seasons remain endless, and what one missed here, may find there…

I'm not Dave Barry, but I hope you enjoyed the walk…

"there might be yet another plane where
seasons remain endless, and what one missed  here, may find there…"

a great summation - - and a belief - I feel certain is true -- well done

~You have to have a dream so you can get up in the morning.
