She was a goddess, a queen.  Well, not quite actually.  She had been beaten out for prom queen by Sally James, effectionately known as "backseat Sally."  Sometimes voting of the student body was impacted by a student's body, but I digress.  At sixteen, Louise was the desire of my dreams, including wet dreams.  But again I digress.  I would sit in home room and gaze ahead at my Louise, who sat two rows in front of me.  What an exquisite ash-blonde head of hair she had atop her perfectly shaped head, except for the one slight indentation.
Louise knew not my name.  It mattered not, for in my fantasies, we were Sonny and Cher. (she being Cher)  It was a Friday afternoon.  The final bell rang. I went out to my 1968 Dodge Dart, dark green.  As I drove down out of the parking lot, I spied Louise standing by her classic cherry red 1965 Mustang convertible.  The hood was up.  Gawd, would I like to see what was under that hood.  The Mustang's also.  But I digress.  I pulled over and asked what was the matter.  Louise, in a slight tinge of sarcasm replied.  My car won't start.  Gawd, she was beautiful when she was sarcastic.  She went on.
I need to get home before five to take care of my bratty little brother.  Can you give me a ride.  I started sweating.  My palms, my face, my...er...
but again I digress.  I said sure.  Hop on.. er Hop in...  She did.  Hop in that is.  She said, interesting car, it is a car isn't it.  I said yes.
I started down Maple Street.  As we went by the Sonic, I asked Louise if she would like a cherry limeade.  She surveyed the parking lot to make sure none of her friends were there.  She said, I guess so.  By the way, what is your name.  Do you go to Northwest High?  I said yes.  I sit behind you in home room.  I have lived next door to you since the second grade.  My name is Mike.  She said.. Oh.
I pulled into a stall and pushed the button.  Two cherry limeades please.  At that moment, a 67 SS Chevy pulled into the lot.  It was George.  He was captain of the football team and Louise's steady boyfriend.  I pushed the speaker button again.  Could you please make my cherry limeade to go?  I asked in a somewhat frantic manner.  It didn't matter.  George came to the side of my 1978 Green Dodge Dart.  I had never met the captain of the football team.  I wish I hadn't.  But I had met Louise.  The girl of my dreams.
